Workshop about the challenges and opportunities of interdisciplinary collaborations at the VANDA conference

19/10/2022

End of September Sophie participated in the VANDA conference in Vienna, where she organised a workshop together with Alexandra Meyer, Zdenka Sokolíčková and Esteban Ramirez Hincapié. The fruitful and well attended workshop was dealing with the challenges and opportunities of interdisciplinary collaborations when researching climate/environmental change. Thanks to all the paper-givers and participants for the great session. Read the report on the blog “Kontrapunkte” for more information.

Are you wondering what kind of activities are taking place in Tasiilaq as part of the Snow2Rain project? Here is a video recap of our first month of fieldwork. Hopefully you enjoy it!

From snow to rain in Tasiilaq

10/01/2022

In the past two months, Anna and I (Jorrit) have started the fieldwork for our research project in Tasiilaq, East Greenland. Our research project is called Snow2Rain. But what does this name mean? And what is it that we are interested in with this project? In this post, I will explain what the project name stands for and why climate researchers expect more rain in Greenland in the future.
